A higher intake of fat in the 3-10 days of your keto diet plan will help your body learn to metabolize fat.
After that intro period, you can taper down your fat intake so that you’re only getting what you need to maintain health.
This excess healthy fat intake will help your body “jump start” into ketosis, or “fat burning” and turn fat into fuelrather than your body using carbohydrate sugars.
