Turnip Hash Browns

  1. Using a box grater or food processesor, shred the turnips.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk the egg before adding the shredded turnip, salt, and pepper.
  3. Over medium-high heat, warm a large flat-bottomed skillet; once warm, add your bacon fat or butter to melt. Once melted, turn the heat to medium.
  4. Add your turnip mixture to the hot skillet in ½ cup servings, using a spatula to lightly flatten. Cook up to five minutes, or until the edges have browned, before flipping and cooking on the other side.
  5. Move to a plate, and serve with a small dollop of sour cream.
