If you’re not as sold on the unique spice, though, consider these keto friendly turmeric balls anyway as the other ingredients make for a yummy keto treat.
Just start with a little less turmeric in your recipe, and don’t skip the black pepper. This helps with turmeric absorption and increases all the benefits of using this amazing spice.
I suffer from rheumatoid arthritis and have found that certain anti inflammatory foods are much better at helping out with the pain associated than actual over the counter medicines. Turmeric has worked wonders for me over the years. I drink and eat it as often as I can get.

TURMERIC BALLS
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup coconut butter
- 1/2 tablespoon coconut oil
- 1/3 cup shredded coconut finely shredded
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric ground
- 1/4 teaspoon Cinnamon ground
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
optional
- liquid stevia to taste
Instructions
- Using a microwave-safe bowl, microwave the coconut butter and coconut oil 15 seconds to soften. If they are still too hard to stir easily, microwave in additional 5-second increments until soft enough to easily stir. Be careful, however, that you don't go too far—you don't want a liquid here.
- Add all the spices in one bowl and mix thoroughly.
- Add the spice mixture to the coconut oil mix and blend well into smooth batter.
- Scoop out roughly ½ tablespoon sized portions of the batter, rolling them into a ball before placing them on a parchment paper lined plate. If the batter is too soft to easily roll, place in the refrigerator a few minutes to help it firm up a little, then try again. You should end up with 8 balls on your plate.
- Refrigerate the balls for at least 15 minutes to help them firm up, then store in an airtight container. If your kitchen is warm, you may need to keep them in the refrigerator, but otherwise they will keep okay in an airtight container on the counter.
